Tell us your story
My mother passed away in 2006 leaving us an elder parakeet. The parakeet died in 2008. One of our cats, Earthquake (from the SPCA), loved watching the bird - not to attack it just to watch. It was sad watching Earthquake stare at the cage missing his friend. So we went to the Bird Show held at the Santa Clara Convention Center twice. During the second visit we decided we didn't want to have a caged bird again. On our way out, a woman was selling Pomeranians (there were reptiles for sale as well). My wife & her mother put this little 7-week old puppy in my arms. I asked the puppy if he'd get along with my "familiar," Tabitha, a cat who adopted me at SPCA. He indicated he would and the rest is history. My aunt gave him the name Guinness due to his coloring.
