Rules for Second Chance Dog Rescue
June - July 2015/2016 Calendar

1. This is a fundraising event for Second Chance Dog Rescue, a licensed 501(c)3 dog rescue. We work with shelters, other rescues, private owners and breeders, taking in dogs that need to find new homes for whatever the reason. When a dog comes into Second Chance, his or her future begins. The dog's past is over. We believe that ALL dogs should be given the opportunity for a SECOND CHANCE for a new life and work toward each dog attaining that goal.
2. The contest will begin February 13, 2015 and run until April 11, 2015.
3. Photographs may be entered for two different categories.
4. Category one, the cover of the calendar. Photographs submitted for this category must include at least one dog that has been adopted from Second Chance Dog Rescue.
5. Category two, 12 photographs will be selected for each of the twelve months of the year. Photograph depicting any rescued animal(s) are eligible.
6. No photograph will be considered eligible if it depicts any act of cruelty, obscenity, nudity of a human or advertisement of any product.
7. The winner of Category one shall be the photograph with the most votes that complies with paragraph 4.
8. In the event of a tie for Category one, the photograph entered into the contest first shall be put on the front of the calendar and the other photograph be moved to a winner for the 12 months. In addition, the photograph entered in the contest first will be awarded the grand prize.  
9. The winners of Category two, 12 winners in all, shall be the photographs with the most votes in this category and will be assigned months as chosen by Second Chance Rescue. Only 11 winners will be chosen if we have a tie for Category 1. The photographs must comply with paragraph 5.
10. In the event of a tie for the 12 Category two photographs, the photographs shall be selected by entry date with the photographs entered earliest becoming the winner.
11. In the event of any tie for the mini-prizes, the entry made first shall be determined to be the winner.
12. All rights for ownership and reproduction shall be given when photographs are entered into this contest.  
13. Photographs must be in one of the following formats: Adobe Acrobat 9 Document (*.pdf) (recommended); Adobe Illustrator CS3 Artwork (*.ai) (recommended); Adobe Photoshop CS3 Image (*.psd) (recommended);Bitmap Image (*.bmp); GIF Image (*.gif); JPEG Image (*.jpg,*.jpeg); Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Document (*.ppt); Microsoft Publisher 2010 Document (*.pub); Microsoft Word 2010 Document (*.doc); PCX Image (*.pcx); PICT Image (*.pic,*.pict,*.pct); PNG Image (*.png); PostScript Document (*.ps); TIFF Image (*.tif,*.tiff); Windows Enhanced Metafile (*.emf) or Windows Metafile (*.wmf).
14. Second Chance Dog Rescue retains the right to require a substitute photograph from any winner if the winning photograph is not of sufficient quality for printing in the calendar.
