Loving, feisty, demanding, a talker and screamer!

Pet's Story
Ian the cockatiel was rescued and adopted as an adult who was at least a year old at the time. Over the last 20+ years he was truly loving but also feisty, demanding, and sometimes obnoxious with his screaming. He would scream when he couldn't see me, scream for attention, scream for treats and when he knew pasta was cooking. He would start dancing around when he saw the fruits of his labor approaching. Over the last few years he developed really bad arthritis in both feet and a cataract in one eye rendering him partially blind. However he didn't let it hinder him. He had an enormous zest for life continuing to work his legs and feet by climbing his small ladders to his food and water. Unfortunately, Ian unexpectedly passed away last month in February 2025. While the hurt is still fresh, every time I think about him and his antics I smile and laugh a little and the hole in my heart gets healed a little more each day. He'll be sadly missed but forever in my heart along with all of my creatures who came before him.
