Pet's Story
Sitting in our living room, watching NBC7 news, and Shadow was a featured pet available for foster. SDHS was overcrowded and they were looking for fosters to house the many animals in their care. Robert saw him and immediately began the process to foster Shadow. He had been in the shelter for six months and was nearing his 10th birthday. When he arrived, he would not eat, did not want to be touched, but with time he became comfortable with our family and LOVED his new yard. We adopted Shadow in February 2024, and he has completely stolen our hearts. He is such a good boy! He is excited to welcome guests to our home, never jumps, and after his greeting he goes back to his yard. Loving, independent and talkative, he knows when it is time for dinner or a walk and will sweetly have a full Husky discussion with you until he gets his way. His favorite part of his day is walking around the neighborhood. Many friends say Shadow is a lucky dog to be here, but we are the lucky ones! He is excited that being part of this fundraiser can help his friends at SDHS.
