Pet's Story
Sky was a southern stray and a young mom. Slated for euthanasia at a shelter, rescued and then given up again. She won her humans over with her good looks and her timid demeanor. The moment the adoption papers were signed - her true, wild-woman personality shined, and continued to shine for 3 short years. Sky’s life was cut short by a very aggressive form of cancer, at the age of 5. In her short but full life she became an ambassador to rescue animals by helping her humans in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for dogs in need of second chances. Her bad behavior, sassy facial expressions, houndy attitude and excitement and love for every person she met… shown through in every facet of her life. No mud puddle went unrolled in, no garden was safe from ravaging, no stinky smell was left unrolled in.

Sky had a joy for life and reminded us it’s not the length of your life; its the width and the depth. Her family was lucky to have her love and be kept on their toes by her. Her legacy will continue by helping rescue dogs near and far in her memory.
