Pet's Quirks
Cannolis captures fresh camellias from neighboring yards and brings them to me wherever I might happen to be.

Pet's Story
Cannolis came to me in December 2020 during COVID, and is now 3.5. He and his sister, Truffles, were rescued as newborn kittens from a dumpster in the KPCC station parking lot in Pasadena, which is next door to the Pasadena Humane Society. A PHS employee knew I wanted to adopt, and adoptions were scarce then. I drove up there and brought both home to San Diego. To my adoring astonishment, when the camellias bloomed in April, Cannolis began hunting them down after they fell. Sometimes he brings more than a dozen a day, clenching them in his teeth, and drops them at my feet. Or, he leaves a trail of them lining the path to whichever room I'm in at the time. He makes a tell-tale squealing sound as he approaches, and I know to get my camera ready. I actually have several videos of him to show doubters. He has done this consistently every year, whenever the camellias are in bloom. I think he wants to get married. Oh, and I named him Cannolis after my favorite food, because of his white chest and cannoli shell coloring!
