Pet's Story
When Poppy was ~8 weeks old, she was found under a bush in a parking lot in La Mesa. A Good Samaritan brought her to my place of work, Veterinary Emergency Group in Encinitas, and I fell in love with her. She came into the hospital as a scared little puppy, and I helped her come out of her shell. After a few minutes of cuddles and kisses, she started wagging her little nubbin of a tail and “popping” around trying to play with everyone (pets and people alike) in the hospital. 5 days later, I adopted her through the San Diego Humane Society. They named her Poppy, which is the name I had picked out for her before her adoption. Poppy now lives a very spoiled lifestyle. She has many friends at doggy daycare, LOVES to go shopping at the mall with her mom (me), who can never say no to more treats or time outside on walks.
