Pet's Story
Kitsu was adopted after being abandoned as a puppy. He had been adopted and returned to the shelter several times before he came to be part of our family. Our other dog Ginger had fallen in love with him! Kitsu was a wild child who hadn’t ever really been socialized. After training and a year of intense socialization, Kitsu became a certified Therapy Dog and has been successfully providing loving support to others for nearly 14 years. He has lost the use of his back legs in recent years, but still enjoys hitting the trails in his wheelchair and participating in a read to the dogs program for children and fast the local library. Quite a journey from a wild child to a cuddle bug!
