Pet's Story
Tsunami was adopted by our Japanese aunt in Iwato, Yokosuka, Japan. She was a neighborhood cat that came to our aunt's door frequently starting around 3/11/2011. When our aunt died in 2016 we adopted Tsunami. Her ear is notched, the Japanese way to indicate she was spayed. In 2018 Tsunami came to America (we are a Navy family) with her San Diegan buddy Sumi the cat. She is a very sweet girl, she loves giving her guardians hugs although her time outdoors led to nearly all of her teeth being removed. Still she loves adventure - chasing toy mice and jumping all over the house. Even though she is only a fraction of Sumi's size (6 pounds versus 16 pounds) she does not put up with any of his bologna - she often chases him around. This photo is with samurai swords in our Japanese styled bedroom - showing her cultural heritage.
