Pet's Story
In 2005 I'd visited the Riverside humane society with my friend and she picked out the very youngest kitten, I went back a few days later having decided to pick the oldest cat there. Five minutes before the shelter was set to close for the day, I arrived and went to the cat room. Boots wouldn't stop talking. I tried to look at all the cats and read about them but he wanted all my attention. Confirming this with an instant purr when I was allowed to hold him. He licked my neck and so I read his bio. They thought he might be 8 (they were probably wrong as that was 14 years ago and would put him at 22 now), He was set to be terminated that night. He came home with me and for years I didn't go anywhere without him. He doesn't travel well anymore without making shark mouth and howling. But he still licks my neck and insta-purrs everytime we hug. He loves food and gets so jealous whenever he sees me eating; he's been known to pull food right out of my mouth if I'm eating with no hands and it's sticking out.
