Pet's Story or Bio
After searching daily on petfinder.com for our family's newest addition, we went to the APA of Missouri in late July 2017 to meet some of the dogs in person. This is when we first saw Mercury (formerly known as Rudy). When the hour+ we spent with him in the 'Get Acquainted' room felt like just a few minutes, we knew he was the one - It's awesome how humans and animals can instantly bond like that! :) Because he was part of a shelter transfer program with a shelter in Louisiana, there wasn't much information available about his history. But other than being a little timid, he is one of the smartest, most well-trained dogs I have ever known! (And I'm not just saying that because he's mine, I've had complete strangers tell me that too!) Mercury is the first pet I have owned in my adult life and I ask myself everyday how I got so lucky!! I've been so proud and blessed to be his Dog Mom for the past year! <3
