My Story
Hello future friends, it's me Gary. You may have seen my momma post about me under one of my many aliases, GareBare, Gary-son, Goofus, and Pancake just to name a few. I was taken in by Suncoast Basset Rescue in 2022 due to no fault of my own when there was a major shift in my former living situation. I was adopted twice but returned each time due to some behavioral issues. Just between you and me it was all part of my master plan to return to my foster mom. After nearly putting up with my antics for a year she finally made me an official member of the family at the end of last winter. I may be five years old but more often than not I act like I'm mischievous two year old. I will randomly get into things and destroy them and then go for months being a good boy, it's all about the surprise attack you see. Even though I am naughty, Momma still loves me. I'm very stoic and do not show a lot of expression except for when I play by myself. Then I show my goofy side and throw concerns to the wind. The only time I'm truly emotional is when Momma leaves and I cry like Chewbacca. Shouldn't I get to go with her everywhere? I have four basset brothers, one basset sister, and two cat sisters. Sadly we lost the patriarch of our family, Baby Jackson, last July and momma says I have helped to fill a void his absence left in her heart and our home. He was an unofficial Basset ambassador for Suncoast Basset Rescue since 2015 and had raised thousands of dollars for hounds in need. Hopefully by running for Suncoast Basset Rescue Sweetheart Waddle 2025 King I can continue his efforts to help save lives as well. So vote for me SBR Basset Extraordinaire to be your next king.
