Cookie and her litter mate were found on the side of an SA road, both so ill with parvovirus. SAPA brought them back to health and friends of mine (Heather O'Brien and Susan Nielson) fostered them (along with a houseful of other pups)! My Gemini Dream (a Chow/Golden mix beauty from the Converse Animal Shelter) had succumbed to cancer in March and Cookie's picture appeared in my Facebook feed a while later. That's all it took! This gorgeous girl is the most loving creature I've ever had - 70# lap dog! And smart! And not a runner! One of our first visits to the vet, he set her age at 12 weeks. Counting backwards to get a birthdate, it landed on March 19. The same day we lost Gemini Dream. Was meant to be! And this photo - very presidential looking, isn't she??
