Hi I'm Eloise, (aka Lou or LuLu or LouieLou, etc., etc.). I'm an 10-year old pug with tons of personality! I was adopted in January 2013, from a family where I was living with two other dogs that I wasn't really getting along with. (I love when dog friends visit but I prefer to be an only child.) I was named after the children's book "Eloise" - a series about a precocious little girl who lived at the Plaza Hotel in New York City and had a pug named Weenie.
Like most pugs, I'm extremely affectionate (some would call it separation anxiety) and I NEED to be as close as possible to you at all times. But, I'm really a super chill dog, I just need a comfy bed where I can snooze all day. My main activity (really it's a full-time job) is barking at squirrels in the yard, or any animal I see on TV (especially horses). I'm a very healthy girl, my favorite foods are actually carrots and cucumber (and I get some cheese if I'm good). Fun fact - I understand the word cheese in 4 different languages. I love to explore San Antonio, especially parks, breweries (hello Alamo Beer Company) and wineries with Mom and Dad. I've also traveled a lot - we moved to Connecticut and back a few years ago and I actually have more flight miles than most of my extended family! Any time Mom takes out a suitcase, I jump right in, trying to make sure she doesn't leave without me!
My family has adopted many dogs and cats in San Antonio over the years, and I'm so excited to be able to raise money and support Pets Alive.
