After losing my beloved dog Libby, I knew I had to rescue another. I logged onto Diamond Dachshund website and immediately knew I had to meet “Toby”. He was found in the streets of New Braunfels malnourished and had been attacked by other dogs. He’s deaf and partially blind. He came to us in October 2020, and I renamed him Finnegan (I hope to visit Ireland one day) and Stout (after my favorite beer). He has over come heart worms and anxiety and is my chubby happy boy now. He is completely spoiled now and such a ham! The best thing about him is that everyone has their favorite name for him and he doesn’t mind! Rescue dogs are the best because they know they are lucky and loved.
