Helena, formerly known as Madison, is currently 9 years old. I adopted her from SFOF when she was one year old. She was found pregnant and SFOF helped her and her kittens. At first sight of her, I fell in love with Helena and knew she was my cat. I prefer to adopt cats that are less placeable and am particularly drawn to black cats. Technically, she is Queen Helena and knows full well that she is regal. I later found out there was a real Queen Helena whom I am proud to have named my cat after, even though initially unintended. Helena’s favorite things are to follow me literally everywhere in my studio apartment and strategically leave her small mice in places she knows are important to me. When visiting my family, she has no problem telling others, including bigger dogs, that she is The Queen.
