Sterling had been abandoned by his owner and was living on a trail near our home, so I'd see him every day but I didn't know he'd been abandoned. One day he came up to me, bloody tail, so I started to ask his neighbors about him. It took me two months to catch him and get him to the vet. Two surgeries later he was on the mend. That was 18 months ago. He's doing great! He's still adjusting to some of the house rules. He's super smart so he'll figure it out. The neighbor even taught him to "sit" for a treat.
