Saga Humane Society is the only humane dog and cat shelter for homeless, abused, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. Saga was formed in 1999, and since then has saved and cared for over 20,000 dogs and cats.

Saga provides medical care, and a safe place to live for the unwanted, as well as rehabilitative services, foster care and adoption placement to abandoned and stray animals. Saga provides no-cost veterinary services to families without means, and humane education programs to our future generations.

Our mission is to promote kindness and prevent cruelty.
