Your Roger Williams Park Zoo turns 150 in 2022! In honor of this monumental birthday celebration, we are looking back on 150 years of wild memories. Submit your favorite Zoo photo (recent or past) and vote until Thursday, September 30 at 11 PM.

The contest is free to enter and each vote is $1. Every dollar directly supports the Zoo's animal care, local and global conservation initiatives, and educational programming. Once you submit your entry, you can share it with your family and friends and encourage them to vote! 

• Contest opportunity is exclusive to photos taken at Roger Williams Park Zoo only.
• To enter the contest, you must register using your personal email address and a password of your choice.
• Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo and donations are non-refundable.
• All entries are subject to review, editing, and removal by the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Entries will be judged by Roger Williams Park Zoo. All decisions are final. The Zoo reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate.
• Each dollar donated will count as one vote. Note that voting does NOT entitle the participant to a 2022 RWPZoo Calendar (the top 12 photos DO receive a calendar, and calendars may also be ordered independently of the contest this November). At the conclusion of the voting period, the entry with the most eligible points (dollars) will be deemed the "First Prize Winner," pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. The next entries with the next most eligible votes will be deemed the "Second Prize Winner", then Third Prize Winners (3rd - 12th top vote getters) pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be judged by RWPZoo in accordance with the following criteria: (i) composition: 50% and (ii) quality: 25%; and (iii) originality: 25%. The decision of RWPZoo will be final and binding in all respects. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules.

• All Entries must include one image, horizontal layout preferred, in a high-resolution digital photo.
• The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
• By entering the contest, all photos become the property of Roger Williams Park Zoo. Submission of photos grants the Zoo a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish your photography in our editorial, educational, and promotional print and digital materials, and on social media.
• If you are one of the top 12 winners, and the photo you submitted is of poor quality (it will not reproduce well in the calendar) and cannot be sufficiently improved for publication, we will alert you. You will still qualify for the Top 12 Prize; however, your photo may not be included in the calendar.
• When registering/buying votes you agree to receive emails from Roger Williams Park Zoo for Zoo news and updates.

• Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest.
• You may vote for your own photo.
• Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends September 30 at 11 PM EST.

• FIRST PRIZE WINNER: Private animal encounter prize for up to 4 guests (sloth, red panda elephant, giant otter, or giraffe) valid for the 2022 season. Expires 12/31/22. Advanced scheduling is required. Dates are subject to availability; participants must be age 5+ or 11+ for red panda encounter. Animal encounter cannot be exchanged for cash.
• All winners will be contacted by email in October.
• To allow time for calendars to be printed, all complementary calendars and Zoo tickets will be mailed to winners in December.
