Miss May's journey began in late 2022 when she was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas. Along with her entire family, abandoned near a dump, she faced an uncertain future. Thanks to the compassionate efforts of Ruff Start, Miss May received the care she desperately needed: treatment for heartworm, spaying, dental care, and hernia repair.

Now on lifelong heart medication, Miss May spends her days happily searching for treats, stealing my chair to gaze out the window, and enjoying multiple naps. Her story is a powerful reminder of why rescuing animals is so important.

Every animal deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life, and with support and care, we can transform their lives and bring joy and companionship into our own. By helping rescue animals, we save lives, restore hope, and create lasting bonds that enrich both human and animal lives alike.
