Gracie had spent 12 years as a puppy mill mom before being rescued by Ruff Start and fostered by a professional dog trainer. She’s had a difficult life and was afraid of people, cars, and more. She’s been working hard to overcome her fears with the help of her dog brother Toby. This summer, we were able to take the two of them on a trip to Lake Superior and Gracie did great. She enjoyed hiking, sleeping in a cabin, and even dipping her toes in the frigid lake! 14-year-old Gracie is living proof that it’s never too late to change a dog’s life.
