Tucker came to Ruff Start Rescue from Georgia. He and his sister had been thrown out of a truck and left on the side of the road. Thanks to a kind rescue worker who saw it happen, he and his sister were taken to a local shelter and ultimately ended up at Ruff Start That summer, we had just lost our recent rescue, Ivan, to Cushing's disease and we were looking for a companion for our dog Rue. Rue and I traveled to many shelters to find a match. The last place we looked was Ruff Start. We met the Tucker's foster mom and it was a match! Tucker came home in August, 2020, at 8 months old. We did his DNA: He is mostly American Foxhound and Treeing Walker Coonhound.
