We answered a “Hail Mary” from the Ross County Humane Society. “Papaya” had been there for 68 days with no interest not even a day trip. She wasn’t a puppy and from what was determined has had many puppies and was being treated for Lyme disease. She had stopped eating. It took some time but we got her to eat, finished her meds for Lyme disease, treated her for tapeworm, and finally spayed.

We have adopted before but our “Maya” is the most loving dog we’ve ever had. She was housebroken and knew basic commands. She is smart and sassy. My hubby and I feel very lucky that we saw the post and took a chance on her. She is currently living her “best” life.
