Gumbo is the perfect Spokescat for rescued pets everywhere because he was rescued as a baby kitten with a broken tail, respiratory problems, and bad teeth. When I first saw him as a 10 month-old at the Humane Society, he reached his paws through the cage, gave me a silent meow, and my heart was smitten. He has given me and my family more joy than I can imagine, and in many ways, he saved me. Although he's an old boy now with some teeth removed and that bent tail, he loves people, plays fetch, and enjoys everyday of life.
