Hi, my name is McKayla and I’m 12yrs old.

My mommy rescued me when I was 11mos old after I was found tied to a bench with a note on me that said, “She’s sweet but we can’t keep her.” I love all people, especially children and my favorite pastime is lounging in the sun and giving kisses. I am definitely a “nanny dog” and will try to rescue any person or animal I think is in danger. Unfortunately, I have to stay in the house when we have pool parties or else I will be in lifeguard mode (which I take very seriously) and will try to save everyone from the pool!

Spock is my little brother who’s a rescue from a hoarding situation involving 13 other dogs.
He helps to keep me young and I help to keep him in line. He can be an annoying little brother but we love and take take care of each other.

Spock wanted to be the Spokesdog. I told him he could be in the picture but I have seniority and am better suited to handle the rigors of the title because I try to give back to society through my rescue efforts just like the Charleston Animal Society and Palmetto Brewing Company. He unwilling agreed.
