Rhett recently passed suddenly due to a tumor on his spleen; but his happy spirit lives on in every sunny day, dog smile, or beach sunset I see. While his time on this earth was cut short, his impact continues to be immeasurable.

Rhett was a true angel on this earth. He taught people to love, filled silence with laughter, and was always the shoulder anyone needed to lean on. Without being trained how, he knew how to destroy anxiety, wipe tears, and remind us all how lucky we are to have each other.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t smile in his remembrance. He was the happiest boy and the best part of every day. I’d be lying if I said there weren’t moments where I get sad; but then I remember how fortunate I was to get to spend 7 years with him. Some people never feel that much love in a lifetime.

My hope in entering Rhett is that other people see his story and get to experience a similar love with a pet of their own. I miss him greatly but his love lives on in me and others. ♥️
