I'M LIVING MY BEST LIFE! I had a nice life in the country, then circumstances changed and my mom and dad surrendered me to the local shelter since they were moving and I couldn't go with them. I was a good dog!? I was well mannered and was shown love. Why would they not come back for me? Day after day I just cried in the shelter, missing them so bad. Then one day a nice lady appeared at the shelter and said we're outta here, we're headed to Charleston for your Freedom Ride to meet your foster family! I thought this was the happiest day of my life, but little would I know that was still to come. I thanked her and kissed her and was a good passenger for our two hour ride. My foster family was kind and although I had never lived in a house, and not sure what these "cats" were, I adapted and was happy. *Then if happened* My foster mom got "the call". Someone saw my goofy profile photo on Pet Finder and they wanted to meet me as soon as possible! They were hurting from the loss of their beloved 13.5 year old Maltese "Bunny" just 4 days prior. (My name was "BUNNY"! Could this be an omen??) They had lost their beloved 12.5 year old lab "Wylie" just 2 months before that! (Hey, I'm a LAB! Well "Lab mix") I heard the knock on the door and I could barely contain my excitement! ("Don't jump, behave, let them love you" I told myself.) We spent a little time together and I was soooo sweet. Of course it was love at first sight for them (look at those beautiful blue eyes) and my new Mom said she wasn't leaving without me. Decision was made and Dad agreed. How did this happen? A fur-ever home! This is NOW the best day of my life! EVERY day is the best day of my life! As the spokesdog I would tell my story of love and encourage others to "adopt not shop".
