I am a rescue success story and my doleful eyes and puppy spirit warms the heart of all I meet. Who could resist a can with my face on it? Two nice men men found me on Johns Island when I was injured and scared and they took me to the nice lady at Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue. I had to stay in the hospital for a while and then with a sweet family and then to Paws in Paradise for some socialization because I was afraid of EVERYTHING! One day a lady came with her son to meet me. I was so scared but they made me feel safe so I went home with them. They told me my name was Jolene but they would call me Jojo. I feel so lucky that all these people helped my mom find me. She is patient and gives me space when I need it. She makes me feel safe, gives me lots of walks and great tummy rubs. She says I made her healthy because of all our walks and when she is sad I make her happy, that I am her "gootchens gellie." I don't know what that means but it makes my tail wag.
