I'm Rose, a very grateful rescue who emulates the saying "don't judge a book by its cover." Yep, I'm a 9 year old Rottie with a heart bigger than my head. My story begins when I was 5 months and abandoned along with my sister and mom in a trailer park in NC. A non-profit rescue organization, Rottweiler Hearts Rescue(RHR), found us loving safe homes and I was driven to Charleston, SC to meet my forever family just 2 days before Christmas. Over the years I have helped acclimate new dogs to doggie daycare; kept a watchful eye over my human siblings and their friends while they play and swim...I'm unsure of the water so I figure out which child goes with which parents and alert them when their child jumps in or is under the water swimming; won over my mom's friend who is super afraid of all dogs... she says I'm the only dog who gives her an actual sense of calm; nurtured our rescue kitty who came from a home with an aggressive dog; and love to play with dogs of all sizes, cats, kids, you name it! And yes, I am a "tri-pawd". In May, I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer which forced the amputation of my front leg. I am undergoing chemotherapy, but I haven't lost my spunk and love of life and adventure. Even my oncologist says I'm a Rockstar and one of the best...and I'm almost positive if you met me, you'd agree!
