Joanne Wetzel is a Professional Pet Photographer at Five Freedoms Photography. She specializes in vibrant portraiture for brands, pets, and their people, Joanne also curates precious, heirloom artwork that pet parents will cherish for a lifetime.
In addition to her client work, Joanne extends her photography services to support rescues in need throughout North Carolina. Her commitment is to amplify the visibility and worth of animals, particularly those that face challenges in finding adoptive homes. Through her work in rescue photography, Joanne aims to contribute to the reduction of animal overpopulation, euthanasia, and homelessness in her state.
Bringing over four years of photography experience and having photographed more than 750+ rescue pups, Joanne has a proven track record of working with dogs of various characteristics, including high-energy, shy, deaf, blind, elderly, and those with physical limitations. Her portfolio reflects her dedication to capturing the unique qualities of each pup.
Joanne is also a member of HeartsSpeak, The Tilly Project, Pet Memorial Photographers, and is an active WakeGov Pets Volunteer. Since Five Freedoms Photography’s inception in 2019, Joanne has raised over $70,000 for animals in need across the Triangle and beyond.
