Bailey was adopted as a pup. This handsome boy was one of 10 pups born to a St Bernard that was surrendered while pregnant. As a pup, he would grab sticks, or rather, fallen tree branches as long as 15-20 feet, and run around the back yard with them. When he didn’t want to come in from playing as one year old, he would lay down on the ground and look at my daughter or me, knowing that we couldn’t lift him!
At a fully grown 160 pounds, Bailey was just a big puppy. He had fun playing with other dogs (any size, anywhere, any time), playing in water of any kind, posing for pictures with kids and grown-ups he met and watching sunsets. He loved to help greet trick or treaters, while dressed in his costumes. He was too big for store bought costumes, so I would fashion them for him.
What a huge bundle of warm cuddles, fun and love this little adoptee grew up to be!
I couldn’t have possibly loved him more. ❤️
My sweet boy has now left this world, but he remains in my heart forever.
