We adopted Rue in 2018 after one of the hardest years of our lives. It took us a year to be ready to adopt again, but when we found Rue, joy came back into our lives. She is a supermutt, mix of 8+ breeds(🧬 results in @ruetotherescue IG highlights)

We call Rue the Mayor: there’s no one she doesnt want to meet. Her favorite foods= are Goldfish crackers, broccoli , and rabbit poop🫠.

Her favorite movie? The Call of the Wild, because the CGI buck absolutely blows her mind. She has separation anxiety but we could leave the house and she wouldnt even notice if that movie is on.

Rue's happiest days are spent at Second Beach in Middletown, where she's made so many furry (and human) friends. She's also a regular at local spots like Belle's Cafe in Newport for brunch by the water, plus she loves exploring RI gems like JB's on the Water, Beavertail, Ragged Island Brewery, and Greenvale Vineyards.

Our family's favorite thing about Rue? EVERYTHING.

She's enriched our lives beyond words, introducing us to new friends wherever we live, and making this community feel even more like home.
