We adopted Star from Potter League on December 22, 2023, just ten days after we had to say goodbye to our 17-year-old pitbull. Life felt incomplete without a dog, and we knew there were many animals in need of a loving home. We saw Star on the website and decided to visit her the next day. An hour later, she was in the car with us, heading to her forever home.

Star was siezed from a neglectful home where she was found emaciated and suffering from a severe ear infection that required extensive surgery. Her inner ear canal was removed, and she bears scars on her face that tell the story of her pain and suffering. We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful family who fostered her and to the Potter League for their exceptional care.

Star has brought immense joy into our lives. She loves to eat, and there is never a shortage of food or treats for her. She instantly became a part of our family and follows us everywhere we go. She is a little tank, running up and down the stairs, protecting the house from strangers (Amazon and FedEx drivers), cuddling, playing with her toys, and enjoying her trips to the groomer for a bath. I can't imagine life without her. She is a blessing in every way possible ❤️
