Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Newman was rescued while living in the woods with a homeless woman, who loved him very much but could not take proper care of him. When he was rescued, his hair was so dirty and matted that the groomer had to shave him! His foster Dad said he looked like a "New Man" and that's where he got his name! We kept the name Newman, in honor of his foster parents (who were very sad to let him go) who loved him enough to help a super wild puppy change from being afraid and not even allowing anyone to touch him to becoming the sweetest, most lovable, and loving good boy!!! He still loves being outside in the sunshine, chasing critters in his backyard, long walks, his jammies, his favorite green bone and alligator "treasures", our grandkids and sitting on our laps every evening getting his beautiful hair combed! He has added a lot of love and excitement to our home and even his big "brother" Tanner, our 15 year old Silky Terrier, loves him - sometimes! :-)
