Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Sadie, came to us through Florida Cocker Spaniel Rescue. She was one of several puppies that were up for adoption as the mother was surrendered before the puppies were born. We had been looking for a new dog as one of our other dogs had died. Our older cocker was extremely sad at loosing his brother so we were looking for a Cockerpoo and were told she was one.
We did a DNA test and actually she is a cockerpoo, but about 8% cocker and 86% mini poodle.
She has brought so much joy to us, even though she can be a little hellion at times, zooming around the house, taking her brother’s toys or destroying his bed. She weights all of 11 lbs. but thinks she is a 40 lbs dog that is not afraid of anything.

When we go to the vets everyone just loves her, I think at times they would rather see her than us……LOL. She thinks she is the queen and everyone should pat her.
Everybody she sees she loves. When going for a walk if she does not see any humans she is very upset , as that is the highlight of her walk. She actually will wait outside houses she knows that people have come out to say hi before and just expects them to come out whenever she passes by.

As you can see she is a ham for the camera. She loves chasing the geckos, always hoping she will get one. She has learned to acknowledge that she has to go out by hitting a speech button “outside” and she has a “play” speech button when she wants to play.
Sometimes we are sorry we taught her how to use them.
When she wants to play with her favorite toy she will let us know in no uncertain terms, LOL.
She is the queen of the house and gives us lots of love.
