Mowgli
Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Mowgli was rescued by Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office Animal Service Unit from a horrific case of animal cruelty and neglect in Palm Bay back in 2017. He was rescued with another dog "Baloo"; and both were affectionately named by the BCSO after the Jungle Book. Both dogs were on death's door when they were found and it was uncertain if Mowgli was going to survive. Both dogs were placed with emergency medical fosters and received ongoing daily treatment by veterinarians and techs at the BCSO - South Animal Care Center in Melbourne. Mowgli was taken in by loving fosters who "foster failed" and later adopted him as a permanent part of their family. Today, Mowgli is a loyal companion and mascot at Atlantic Group Real Estate, Inc. in Cocoa. He's a dog that undoubtedly appreciates his second chance at life and demonstrates that daily. Mowgli is a great example of the results of animal rescue and rehabilitation when an animal is given a vital second chance. The Touch of Grey Rescue is near and dear to Mowgli's (and his owner's) heart and he's happy to lend his handsome face to help raise money for this epic local Brevard County rescue organization. Give Mowgli a vote and help other animals in the care of Touch of Grey Rescue everyday!
