Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Meet Jack.
4th of July a year and a Half ago he was found wandering our street begging to be let in. He was terrified of the fireworks and rain. He was desperate to get inside a house and going door to door at every house.
I felt so bad for him and he was so scared that We let him in and he was so grateful and happy. We already had a 1 year old dog and she took to him Immediately, bringing him toys and unconditionally accepting him.
We did everything we could to find his owners. Posted on every lost pet site, next door and took him to the shelter for a hold. A chip said he was a boxer mix and was about a year old in SC in 2011. Making him 13 ( now 14).
No one claimed him and my husband fell in love with him and we agreed he should stay with us forever and give him a safe place to rest his bones. We filled out the papers for the lottery and got to pick him up 5 days later. He was so happy to see us . It was meant for him to be with us. He fit In Quite nicely and gets along so well with his sister Fiona.
He spends his mornings at the dog park with his friends and the rest of the day hanging out and sleeping. He loves tug of war and frozen marrow bones.
We found he can sit, stay, and shake hands. I wish I knew what his life was like before us, what his favorite things are so I can give them to him. But he’s a very happy old man.
This is a picture of Jack on what we declared his birthday and gotcha day. July 4th.
