Beau, a 4 year-old Shih Tzu, rests on the head of his best friend, 12 year old Suri, a red dapple Dachshund. Suri “raised” Beau from a puppy and they are oh-so-bonded! The two of them have a habit of trying to stare at me when they want a snack. While reading the Sunday paper I looked up and snapped this pose. Although they are such very different canine personalities, they can’t stand being away from each other for even a few minutes. As a team they are the best mailman alert ever! And yes, they did get that snack.
