Obsidian (Obbie) was adopted from the Peninsula Humane Society nine months ago, where he went by the name of "Dean". He would often flop on his side and start purring when his current owner approached his cage. Captivated by his medium-fur, puma-like appearance, feather-duster tail, and innocent eyes, Obbie was adopted after his current owner's fifth visit to his cage. Since acclimating to his new home, Obbie (now age 2 and 1/2), has made friends with the neighbor cat where he was accepted as part of the local street gang consisting of an older orange cat, a large white rabbit, a tiny brown mouse, and a few spiders. He regularly wakes his owner up at 5 AM with claws and teeth to go outside. Being probably half maine coon, Obbie enjoys water. Famously, Obbie was outside this last winter during a torrential rainfall, and enjoyed it!
