What's New This Year?
We strive to make every annual photo calendar slightly different and more fun than the previous year. Read below to learn more about the changes you'll be seeing as part of the 2019 "Pets in the City" photo calendar contest experience:
1. More Prizes
This year we are offering even more prizes for top vote-getters, including photography sessions with our amazing professional photography team for the top seven registrants and other AWLA goodies!
2. New SizeWe know you love our photo calendar, but we want to make it more convenient for you to use, so our 2019 calendar will be sleeker and more streamlined than ever. Measuring 8 inches by 8 inches, our upcoming calendar will be easier to hang, easier to mail and easier to share, while giving you and your friends and family the same great collection of some of Alexandria’s most adorable animals at an even more reasonable price.
3. Pet Videos
If a picture speaks a thousand words, how many words is a video worth? Our 2019 photo calendar pages will give you the option to upload not only a picture but also a video of your furry, feathered or scaled friend (through
YouTube) to show them at their best. Whether you’re showing off their zany antics, winning smile or even a singular snore, we want you to see more about why your pet should be Alexandria’s 2019 Animal of the Year. You are not required to upload a video, but it may help you earn extra votes (see below).
4. More Chances to Win Votes
We will be offering new, fun
calendar challenges and activities to help your pet win more votes. Stay tuned throughout the month of June to see how your best friend can tell their story and win more support within Alexandria and beyond.
