A little about me...
Akira is a rescue that we adopted from the Welland Humane Society. She was in a cage with only her sister, located in the back corner with a sign that said “Please do not poke us.” Upon talking with the volunteers, we learned that Akira was feral and lived under a deck with her mom and siblings since she was a newborn. She was, and still is, very anxious, but her personality has developed so much after almost 3 years of having her (with help from her 3 brothers). She now lets us touch her and she’ll even come yell at us and lead us to the living room just to pet her belly.

Fun fact: Akira also have dwarfism, so we call her “munchkin” or “stubs”. ☺️
