Short feline bio/rescue story
When I moved into my new house, I went looking for a cat or two to keep me company. I found Lacey and Tiny, a pair of bonded ladies, at Lollypop Farm. Lacey was 10 and Tiny was 7. I knew I had to take them home when, together, they crawled into my lap and cuddled with me in the meet and greet room. Lacey became my sweet queen and the matriarch of the house. I called her my "dog cat" because she was friendly, loyal, and affectionate in a way few cats ever are. So lovable, my sister always said she wanted to take her from me!

Sadly, Lacey lost her battle with cancer in June of 2024. She was reunited at the Rainbow Bridge with her old friend, Tiny, who passed a few years earlier. She will be remembered as one of the sweetest cats to enter my life. This picture was actually taken on her final day. Lacey, an indoor cat that was itching to get out since the day I brought her home, was finally allowed to run free and play outside in the grass! It rained all day, except for when we went outside with her. The sun literally shined on her that day. She will be missed.

Funny feline fact
Lacey was a rare jem indeed... a calm and quiet calico! She didn't meow, she chittered, cutely and quietly, and she was the opposite of spicy!
