Eva was actually adopted from the Memphis Humane Society by my best friend, who works at the shelter. I remember when I first started getting texts from my friend, talking about this sweet puppy at work that she had a really good feeling about. Not long after, it all fell into place and Eva was taken to her new home. Eva lost her eye because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her previous owner, and when I first got to meet her, she was really nervous around me. Now though, Eva is thriving and together we go on runs around the lake, play with other dogs at the park, and cuddle whenever I get the chance to see her. Eva is the best cuddle buddy around, and I am so thankful for and proud of her new mom for adopting her.
