Pet's Story or BioMissy came into my life in the arms of a camper when I worked as a camp counselor. She was so tiny and always so sleepy! She was like a little koala bear, if a koala bear happened to be half pit and half shepherd. She had a little sister, a golden doodle, who she taught all the lessons of doghood: drinking from the toilet, chasing rabbits, how to beg for food effectively. Unfortunately, the two were separated after 3 years and Missy wasn’t the same. The vet put her on doggy antidepressants to improve her mood and appetite. Frequent visits with family, dog dates, and a countless number of treats always help, but pretty soon I think it will be time to get Missy a new companion. We will visit Memphis Humane Society when that tile comes! Missy turns 9 years old on April 27th, and she is looking forward to her peanut butter cake, new toy, and hopefully a trip to the dog park to see her friends. Her birthday wish is for social distancing to be over and for us all to be healthy!
