I decided to meet Penny at a local shelter after being told she could not be handled, I had a 99% chance of being bit, and I would have to lasso her to get her to go anywhere.

We met. We fell in love. We tried the whole fostering thing (for one whole year) but Penny had already picked her humans. Us.

And, in case you’re wondering, she’s never bitten us. The squirrel... was not so lucky.
