Foxy's story of origin is unknown, but she was sick and quarantined when my husband and I first met her at the shelter. We IMMEDIATELY bonded with each other. We knew she was ours at first sight, and she knew her mama and daddy had come for her! Upon adoption, Foxy was malnourished, frightened, scraggly, and isolated from the other dogs in a small cage due to a virus. Our heart broke for this little girl who somehow seemed really out of place in the shelter. I have suffered with ill health for the past 6 years and know how important love is in the healing process. We immediately adopted her so her healing could begin. In a relatively short timeframe, our little girl was restored physically and emotionally. Here is a picture of her healthy and happy and sitting with her friend "Lambie" on mama's Persian rug -- after all, she is a princess! She was all along :) We still can't decide if we rescued her or she rescued us. On those days when I still don't feel well, my sweet little angel instinctively knows to draw especially close and nuzzle her mama -- because Foxy knows firsthand that love heals. Life is better together!
