My pet wasrescued (usually from the streets or a bad situation)
From what organization or individual was your pet adopted/rescued/purchasedA neighboring barn housed many cats that were on their own. This little guy chose to come to us for a better home than the barn. He was unhealthy.
How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together? This cat would follow us on our walks. He would plop over right in front of us for a belly rub so you either had to stop and pet him or change your direction. He came down from the nearby farm to my back door and one day I let him in. He had dual eye infection issues that left permanent drainage and tearing. We got him neutered, took care of all of his other health issues and welcomed him into our lives. He and my Golden Retriever, Molly, became fast friends. Molly was a worrier and Scat would cuddle her. They were two animals of the same color; different species and size but their hearts melted into one. They grew to depend on each other, spent time playing, chasing, sleeping and would even drink from the raised water dish at the same time! Life was good and they so loved each other. I would never have thought that a cat and a dog would get along in the ways that I witnessed between these two. Both of their lives were enriched because they were blessed to have each other. And I was blessed to have experienced that too.
