Smatchimo came into my life close to two years ago- a friend of mine who fosters homeless cats found him and his brother living under a wood pile deep in a dark, scary forest in Montana. They were no bigger than the palm of your hand and weighed next to nothing. It was clear the helpless kitten's mother was not coming back, and was probably killed by a wild animal. My friend drove tiny little Smatchimo all the way to Oregon for me. He was terrified when he got to my doorstep. Once inside, he ran behind the entertainment center and slept for close to two weeks, only sneaking out occasionally for food and water. Now he sleeps with me every night and he's always smiling. He is kind and friendly and has made friends with all of my neighbors in my apartment complex as well as their pets. He has brought nothing but joy into our lives. He brightens up my gloomy days and can always cheer me up and make me smile when I am down. Everyone that meets him loves him. This picture represents a happy, smiling cat. He appreciates life and goes through everyday happy to be alive. This is how I think all animals should be able to live...happy, loved, and always smiling!!! So please save a homeless animal today. It was the best decision I ever made.
