Levi was rescued in September 2012 from a high kill shelter in Arkansas. Covered in mange and full of parasites, it took 6 months for him to get physically healthy. He stole my heart instantly. In March of 2012, he opened his heart and our home to Callie, rescued from a high kill shelter in GA. Levi took Callie under his wing and their love was like nothing I had ever seen before. In April of 2012, Callie found her forever home with an amazing family. When she arrived as our foster she was timid and unsure. She left confident, loved and happy. Levi played a huge role in her journey to happily ever after. This picture will always be one of my favorites of them. You can see their true togetherness and connection here. I wish that every dog in foster care could find a bond like this if even for a short time.
