My truest companion and most loyal friend, this quirky 6 pound dog came into my life unexpectedly, demonstrating that love is blind, powerful and completely life-changing. Toby Patton, this adorable funny little dog turned my world upside down with his severe anxiety, poor health and stubborn unwillingness to interact with anyone other than me. A slightly dysfunctional, but loyal companion, Toby eventually "warmed" to the world and developed into a wonderfully sweet and sensitive dog. As time went on, Toby became an instrumental member of the family, providing healing love and companionship to my mom during her illness, a long battle with ALS. Toby teaches us that love comes in all shapes and sizes, and that the power of together is profoundly epic. Toby spends his days looking for a familiar lap to rest in and loving his small inner circle with complete abandon and unbridled enthusiasm. My perfectly imperfect companion, the world is a far better place with Toby in it.
